Photo Gallery

I'm not sure why there aren't page templates for a photo gallery or at least to include a feed from Flickr or the like. Can you please add it?

Official response from Lilia Villa

Take a look at one of our latests blogs for embeddig Flikr/Picasa:

Would ideally be on Nation Builder itself to make use of it’s community tools, comments etc.

Thank you finally I found a way back here.

iframe: I tried. Flickr doesn’t work. Neither Facebook

Embeding: later i found out about template as well as the flickr set I was looking didn’t provide the embedding code (thus I assumed flickr isn’t embeding-friendly. untrue.)
Yes, an embedding code can be used before or after all the content = {{ page.blog_post.content_full }}

However, when I paste the photo set URL, NationBuilder process automatically into an embedded photo stream, which is great! Problem solved at least for flickr.

I haven’t found a solution for facebook albums

In essence, Flickr doesn’t seem to take too well to being embedded in an iframe. I remember a site I designed some years ago: it worked for months, and then suddenly Flickr changed the rules, and all the slideshows went blank. I haven’t tried it recently. The link below seems to offer some alternatives, midst a range of other “more-heat-than-light” posts.

Tsuyoshi – if you just click on the “template” tab on the page, you can add in any embeddable thing you want, including iframes. You just have to edit the template. The regular wysiwyg content areas are more limited, the templates are not.

The featured slideshow is available at the top of every NationBuilder page. But I’d LOVE to additionally have a Flickr feed slildeshow option. The built-in featured content template is quite specific in its functionality, and a bit of a project to modify it so that some pages offer links from the photos, and some don’t. So I vote this feature suggestion as definitely useful!
