NationBuilder Expert application

The NationBuilder Expert certification is our stamp of approval for people who provide consulting services and manage nations for organizations of all types and sizes. Candidates for certification should prepare by reviewing our how-to library and our FAQs. 

We've also put together this syllabus to help you prepare: Expert prep materials.

Certified Experts will be featured in our NationBuilder Experts directory and can also expect direct referrals for opportunities with NationBuilder customers. Depending on your skill level and familiarity with the platform, expect to spend four to eight hours in the course of the certification process (including a 30 minute live test). There is a $50 application fee, which includes one retake. NationBuilder Expert certification lasts two years.

After you complete application below, you will install a new nation with a valid credit card. This credit card will be invoiced the $50 application fee, but your nation will be free for the purpose of the certification.

Here's what to expect:

1. You will receive an email with a link to a CSV of people data and guidance on how to create a functional NationBuilder website. 
2. You will notify NationBuilder when your site is ready for review.
3. If you pass the website portion of the certification, a NationBuilder organizer will contact you to schedule a live demonstration of your proficiency with NationBuilder’s database capabilities and a brief interview regarding your knowledge of NationBuilder over Skype. In-person demonstrations are also possible if you come to our office in downtown Los Angeles.
