How do I delete a single person from my nation?

I know how to batch delete via lists; however, I cannot find a delete button to remove one person from my Nation.

How do I remove ONE person from my nation?

Do I have to use the list function to make this happen?

There are two ways to delete a single record from your database. In your People database there is an arrow in the top right corner of each person. Placing your cursor over the arrow will reveal an option to delete that person from your nation.

The other option for deleting an individual person from your nation is on that person's profile. When you have identified the person you want to delete you can click "Edit" on their profile. In the bottom right corner of the edit screen there is another option to delete the person from your nation.

A person cannot be deleted if she has any financial transactions associated with her profile. Those transaction, e.g. donations and invoices, must be deleted before the profile can be deleted. This is to ensure the accuracy of your financial tracking. If the profile has transactions connected to it, the "delete person" options will not be displayed.

Control panel users can only be deleted by an admin or a person with the "manage control panel users" permission.

Mark, as you have noticed, we are not as quick to respond to comments left on our website as people expect. There are a couple of reasons you wouldn’t have the ability to delete a person and I’m going to update the answer to reflect those limitations.

Emailing your point person or [email protected] is the fastest way to receive customer support.

Mark, I will touch base with my organiser and see what he says. I haven’t messed around with this issue for some time so I will have to try and recreate the situation that occurred for me.

Thanks Kieren. I get the impression that you are not a Nb employee? This is the first support question I’ve asked of Nb. I’m puzzled. I’ve never in my entire career used a database where a record cannot easily be deleted (by an admin), and I’m puzzled that you and I are chatting casually about it, rather than a paid employee providing a professional authoritative answer PDQ. Is this really how Nb support works, or am I asking in the wrong place do you think?

Some time ago I realized that the common thing linking people who could not be deleted was that they were listed as donors or had some financial data attached to them. I believe this is the key.

I have same problem as Kieren Jackson and Kyle Sponheim (ie. the “delete” option does not appear).
Why is there no answer? Are we depending upon some poor customer to provide a solution, or are Nationbuilder staff meant to respond to these queries?
