"User authentication failed due to invalid authentication values" donation error message

We have a new authorize.net merchant account. Test transactions directly through authorize.net are working.

In testing donations through my nation, I get this error message both in and out of test mode.

"User authentication failed due to invalid authentication values"

According to authorize.net, this error message is related to a discrepancy between a test and production environment. But given that we're accessing it through NationBuilder and not a custom implementation, I don't know what to check for.

I'm certain I have the right API login ID. I've even reset the transaction key several times, updating my nation each time with the new key. I have recurring billing (ARB) and customer information management (CIM) enabled through authorize.net, and my silent post URL has been correctly added to my authorize.net account.

Any suggestions as far as what else to look for?

Margot- it looks like our Frontline team got back to you! The issue was probably that the account was in testing mode – they were able to make a donation when unchecking testing in your bank account settings. Let us know if you have any other questions!

I have having the same problem. I do not have an authentication key to recreate, but am getting the same error message. What else can I be looking for?

I ended up having to recreate my authentication key inside of my Authorize.net profile and replaced that under Settings > Bank Accounts > Authorize.net. Once that was done my donation pages started working correctly again.

I am getting a similar error message with Authorize.net which otherwise has been working fine in the past. I know Authorize.net has announced some technical changes on their end. Is there a tech note on Nationbuilder compatibiility in light of changes that Authorize.net is making?
