Adriel is a frequent speaker on open government, social media, and technology innovation. In 2009, he became the first person to announce a run for Congress through Twitter. Adriel produces and hosts Leaders and Creators, the NationBuilder podcast featuring the world's top organizers, hosts the training series NationBuilder Live, and is a regular contributor to The Social Media Monthly magazine.

Before joining NationBuilder, Adriel, a licensed California private investigator, worked for the San Francisco City Attorney's Office for six years. From 2009 to 2011, he organized CityCamp San Francisco and he was named GovFresh's 2011 "Citizen of the Year."
