I am entering gifts and have several from donor-advised funds (DAF). Technically, the DAF is the legal donor and I should enter the gift under their record. How do I also give soft credit to the individual who directed the foundation to issue the check so that the gift shows up in their record as well. Important so that I know that they are a donor/supporter for future solicitations and send them a thank you note.
