How do I change which Twitter account appears on the main sidebar where it says "Follow ___"?

There is no need to remove your existing Twitter account from its current broadcaster, which could result in lost data associated with that account. Instead, create an additional broadcaster and connect your new Twitter account to it.

To change the Twitter account shown in your website’s sidebar, change your site’s primary broadcaster. This can be selected by navigating within your control panel to Website > Site settings > Basic.

    Preston, you’ll need to either change the Twitter account associated with the broadcaster or choose a different broadcaster. More than one broadcaster can use the same email address – so if that is why you want to use a particular broadcaster as the primary broadcaster for a site, you have some options.

    Lucia, I think what happened is that when you set up your nation, you asked the system to connect to your Twitter account and you were already logged into one of your accounts from that browser, so that account became attached to your broadcaster. To delete the account, go to Communication > [Broadcaster name] > Settings > Twitter. Click the button at the bottom right that says “Disconnect Twitter account.” You’ll then get a system message at the top of the control panel saying that you disconnected a Twitter account from your nation.

    Make sure you are logged into the correct Twitter account or logged out of Twitter entirely from your browser. Then click the “Connect a Twitter account” button to connect the correct account.

    I have two twitters, one for politics, one for the neighbors. I DO NOT WANT Nation builder broadcasting on the twitter it “found”, that is my personal, for suburbia twitter. So I don’t just want to add, I want to REMOVE, then add the correct twitter.

    Michael — That’s a great question. What would happen would likely be some data loss, but I’ve updated the FAQ with an alternative approach that’ll prevent that outcome.
