Official response from Matthew Pancione
When you sign-up for the basic plan for nonprofits, government or political campaigns ($19/mo; up to 2,000 people and 200 email subscribers), you are getting every standard feature NationBuilder has to offer except blast text messaging.
There is no other distinction, feature wise, between the basic plan and the other more expensive plans (large nations can also purchase premium add-ons, such as subnations and dedicated email servers). The standard pricing distinction is based on how many supporters are in your database. If you want to start building your nation from scratch, a $19 plan is the way to go. Pricing will increase automatically as you grow, following our pricing table.
