Update: We've removed the checkboxes from current stock themes - if you have a custom theme you will need to remove the boxes using the instructions below!

We recently found out that the following three checkboxes, when placed in the stock profile settings, do not work:

- Receive emails

- Receive text messages

- I want to volunteer

For this reason, we have removed those checkboxes from stock themes. If you are using a custom theme, however, you will need to remove them yourself.  To do so, you will want to edit the "signups_edit.html" file (titled "Account Settings") from your theme, removing the following snippets of code:

If you wish to allow your users to toggle their email, text and volunteer preferences, you  can set up a standard Signup Page and direct them there instead. As always, people will be able to opt out of email communication via your unsubscribe page.
