Let an user fill out a survey without having to sing up

I created a Survey page and created a survey inside of that page but for some reason it only lets an user fill out the survey if they are already signup up (if theyre not theres a form underneath the survey asking for their information). How can I get rid of that? I want to let anyone fill out the survey (its just a simple multiple choice question).

It is not possible to submit anonymous responses in NationBuilder. The goal of NationBuilder is to help you organize your community, and we have built our software to put people at the center. In order for someone to take action on your site — whether it's through a survey, a volunteer signup form, or another one of NationBuilder's built in page types — they first need to “sign up.”

Not having to sign in would definitely allow us to use surveys more effectively. We could poll people and entice them to sign in to continue to have input. That would be a great help in identifying our community and reaching out to them more effectively.

I agree that it would be helpful to offer an option where we can survey people without requiring them to sign in. For some, that will be a deterrent.

To get around this in an instance where demanding people signing (for a survey asking students to talk about their experience with mental health issue while in school), we built a survey in Survey Monkey and embedded it into the site. Then we took any of the responses that volunteered contact information and imported them into the nation.

I know that building a community is the point of Nation Builder but there are some instances where demanding that people identify themselves is actually counter to building community.

This “feature” seems like it will skew the answers to surveys as it means we will only get answers from people willing to sign-up. Is there anyway we can be provided with a choice whether or not to force users to sign in first?
