How do I get my text to format correctly in the content editor?

Official response from Kara Scharwath

If you are running into spacing and formatting issues when using the NationBuilder content editor you are probably copying and pasting the text from another application. When you copy and past text from one application into the NationBuilder content editor, hidden html may be attached to that text, and that can create issues with the formatting of your content.

In order to get around this, you can do a few different things:

1. Highlight all of the text in your content editor and then go to the drop down menu on the left hand side of the toolbar and select Paragraph. Chances are it was on Format before, and switching it over to Paragraph will allow you to make the necessary changes to your formatting.

2. Use the Paste from Word feature on the tool bar. You can copy and paste from Microsoft Word right into the clipboard, and click insert. Your text should be formatted and ready to go.

3. If all else fails, you can go into the html editor in the toolbar, and manually strip your content of any unnecessary html.

I don’t see a drop down menu. I did paste a Word-formatted doc into the Word clipboard. The spacing looked okay until the email was sent and then it was all smushed together.
