Connecting with people about your organization is key to growing your community and reaching your goals. Supporters and prospects can be assigned to a point person, so that one person in your organization has responsibility for nurturing the relationship.

The followup statuses are:
Red: overdue followup
Green: followup due today
Yellow: followup due in the future.
Grey: no followup is set.
Multiple followup types for a contact can be set as well. The followup type that is most overdue or nearest to the present day will display as the first type to followup on.
The default types of contact for followups vary for each edition, and you can make changes to them by going to Settings > Defaults > Contact types.
By setting a followup, you’ll have a reminder to connect with a person. Followups can be added automatically to a person’s profile when they take action on a page of your website, or contact a Broadcaster. A followup can also be added via batch update of a list or on a person’s profile.
Followup View
Dashboard > Followup will display a list of all followups that are due today or are overdue. You can adjust the view to display only people who are assigned to you or people who are in your network. You can also display by a particular followup type and you can decide how to sort the followups. Here is where priority levels can be particular useful.
You can also do an advanced search for followups and you can create a filter based on a search.
You can close a followup by batch updating a list, by clicking on the followup when a person’s profile, or by marking the followup complete while logging a contact on a person’s profile.
Priority Level
When you have a lot of people to followup with on a given day, how do you decide who to contact first? This is one way using priority levels can help you streamline your workflow. Priority level is set on a scale from one to five, with five being the most important.
When viewing a list of people, you can set the priority level for each by clicking in the bars that display in the preview of the profile - a pop-up will appear that allows you to set the person’s priority.
Once you click on a level, the pop-up will disappear and the priority for that person will be set / reset.
When you sort a list of people by followup date, people with the same followup date will be sorted by priority level.
