Make the most of your fundraising efforts
- Fundraising events are one of the most effective ways to raise money. People like to have a good time and be social while at the same time being seen contributing to a cause or organization.
- Sell tickets to your fundraising event. There are many advantages to getting your money up front including being able to pay for the venue in advance and ensuring that people have a reason not to ditch at the last minute. Create different ticking levels to make the event attractive to both your high dollar and low dollar donors.
- Use pledges to keep track of verbal commitments. Follow up with your pledges over the phone to remind them of their commitment to donating.
- Sometimes only the executive in the organization has the clout to ask a high dollar donor for a check. Use lists to print call sheets of your top prospects so that your CEO, candidate, or executive director can call donors from anywhere.
