Tips for running a political campaign with NationBuilder
- You'll need to be using the Political campaign edition of NationBuilder to access these features.
- Configure the State/City and district of your campaign.
- Clearly and prominently display what district you are running in on your homepage. Make it easy for visitors of your website to discover whether or not they can vote for you. If a user submits their address, NationBuilder will automatically determine whether or not they are in your district.
- Display your platform positions prominently. Make it clear why you are running, and how you're different from your competitors (if there are any).
- Use tools such as the suggestion box and surveys to liberally to engage your supporters. Encourage them to communicate their ideas and opinions whenever possible. Participate publicly in the discussions on your website to demonstrate how you're listening and how this is a different kind of campaign.
- Host and sell tickets to meet and greet events. It's a great opportunity to meet your potential constituents and since NationBuilder has multi-level event ticketing built in, it's a great alternative way to fundraise.
- Save time researching election practices in each state such as voter registration, absentee/early voting and more by using The Organizers Guide to Election Administration tool created by the New Organizing Institute.

Kim — You need the campaign addon to access these features. You can enable the addon from Settings > Billings & Addons while in your control panel.
