Jacob Green is a Senior Engineer at NationBuilder. He first experienced the allure of working to improve the tools of democracy while researching the mathematical properties of preferential voting systems as an undergraduate at MIT.

Building on his background in mathematics and theoretical computer science, Jacob moved to Silicon Valley to develop software at the next-generation cryptography company Voltage Security. Returning to his homeland of Southern California, he joined forces with the online display advertising powerhouse OpenX.

Now at his third startup, Jacob is excited to bring his passion for product quality and technical excellence to NationBuilder and its mission of building the premier platform for the next wave of grassroots democratic leaders.
