Tagging inbound traffic

I'd like to tag URL's like I do on other CRM's so that the exact source of acquisition is reflected on the record of each new signup.

Is there a key-value pair I can append to a URL to make sure the value is recorded somewhere in the CRM? So, for example, if I want people to sign up on nationbuilder.com/signup, and want every record created from that signup action to be tagged somewhere in the CRM with the value "example123", should the final URL be nationbuilder.com/signup?source=example123, or similar?

It sounds like the best idea here would be to setup our tagging feature for each Action Page within your website. You can see this tagging feature by going to the Action Page in question and adjusting the tags in page settings. In this example, let's use a signup page. First, click on Website > Signup Page > Signup Settings > Tag all signups with. Then within that text box, you can add tags to anyone who signs up through your signup page. You would then need to follow those same steps for each Action Page in order to organize how people come into your People database.

Here is some helpful information about how to tag people in your database!
