Having same problem; donate page is not showing the option to make it a splash page.

commented on Excerpt field on every content type.
This eventually did get implemented. For pages without an excerpt field on the content tab, you can use the one on the SEO sub tab under settings. It functions the same and I believe uses the same liquid variable.

commented on Slider
The only way to do this currently is to create a custom slider using either subpages or tagged pages within a for loop. IE {for page where tag= "customSlider"} then inside the loop pull in the fields from those items to generate the content of the slider itself. It requires a good bit of html, jquery and liquid experience though.

Using this model though we’ve been able to put any type of content in a slider including video, forms, complex formatted content and combinations of these.

But I’d advise against putting video in the slider unless you also control the player with add’l scripts to pause the cycle or player while playing or you could have an hidden video running with no way to stop it till it comes back around.

commented on Clone a page
This is a duplicate, I believe we suggested this a year or more ago, duping pages would be super useful on a couple use cases.

NB operates a bit like Drupal. Upload the image you want to files then it’s accessible via a dropdown in the wysiwyg editor’s image popup.

commented on Allow modification of "Process Donation" button
You can modify your donation template, specifically this line: {% submit_tag “Button Text Here”, class:“success-button” %}

Check the link below for information on changing one page vs all donation pages and built in themes vs customised, but it’s pretty simple.

commented on Make page slugs and usernames separate monsters
Realize this is pretty deep in the gears but this could be a bigger issue for us with current projects where we have nations with several hundred thousand to over a million twitter followers eating up many of the simple slugs. A directory structure like /user/slug or adding a permitted special character or something like that i.e. /~twitterfollower

commented on Ability to create new types of template pages
Multiple basic pages or at least an “Advanced” page type with a few more options for advanced usage would be very useful…

commented on Add automatic style inlining to email editor
@ryan I can see how that would work for experts, but does that work well for your clients? Maybe we’re talking about more advanced emails or more complex organizations because I don’t see how telling a client “you’ll need to hack your browser to do a newsletter” is sound change management.

commented on Twitter feed
More access to and customizability of the activity on the site would be useful for many reasons and in many locations. But twitter feeds are a constant issue and the twitter provided widgets can throw a huge wrench into a design. If NB already has authorization and is tracking users’ and broadcaster’s this seems like a fairly natural thing to make available.
