Melinda Amato is an Organizer at NationBuilder. Ever since 8th grade, she's been passionate about all people having equal access to quality education. While studying Political Science and Sociology at USC, she worked to organize students and parents in the fight for quality education through Chicanos for Progressive Education, The Joint Educational Project, and Teach for Los Angeles.
She spent a semester studying abroad in Chile during the national student education reform movement, where she witnessed the power of social media in movement building. This drove her to NationBuilder, where she helps people harness the power of the internet to further their causes.
