I do not understand how an existing phone I have for a campaign integrates into NationBuilder. I spent some time on the voice settings area, and got as far as seeing a phone number I was supposed to call to record a voicemail greeting into, but it did not work. (It was a 510 number).
I don't want to make return calls from my personal phone. I want to return them from the campaign phones.
So I guess the question is-- how do I configure things so if a person calls the existing campaign phone number I have, that go to physical phones that I carry, for it them to forward to the NationBuilder number and record/ transcribe the message there?
While what you are describing may be possible — depending on what forwarding options are available for your individual carrier and mobile phone — it is not a supported feature of NationBuilder.
You can, however, configure your phone calls to be recorded in your nation and also ring on your mobile phone. To do this, go to Communications >> [Your Broadcaster] >> Settings >> Phone settings and enter the number of your physical phone in the "Number to forward to" field. (See the screenshot below.)
Once you've saved these settings, calling your broadcasters number will result in both (a) a logged activity in your nation and (b) a ring on your mobile (or land line) phone.
