Join us for a NationBuilder workshop hosted by the House Democratic Caucus on Thursday, October 2nd from 3 to 5pm. The following topics will be covered as a step by step intensive workshop.

Having access to website building and online engagement tools, voter file and grassroots mobilization tools, and blast email, text, and social media communications all in one place means NationBuilder presents organizations with endless possibilities to build communities better than ever before.

During the workshop we’ll cover some of the core features and functions of NationBuilder and basic organizing tactics and best practices we’ve seen from movements around the world using NationBuilder, including:

Digital GOTV: How to activate your social media champions for GOTV
- Social media integration and amplification by linking your supporters to their social media profiles
- Connecting your Facebook page and Twitter to your nation
- Targeting and outreach to key social influencers to Get Out The Vote
- Text blasting and sign up for mobile GOTV

Volunteer Recruitment: Use your existing network to find new volunteers
- Creating volunteer pages and tags for key roles to organize incoming sign ups
- Setting up contact types to manage volunteer outreach, making sure no volunteer misses a canvass opportunity
- Using recruiter links and social media sharing to expand your reach and find new volunteers
- Moving social media supporters up the ladder of engagement, from passive supporters to active volunteers and advocates


About your facilitator for the day:
Robin Alberts-Marigza is a Senior Organizer at NationBuilder where she focuses on organizing cities throughout the South. Prior to NationBuilder, Robin served as the Campaign Manager for Congressman Jim Cooper and State Senate candidate Jeff Yarbro. A Nashville native and Tennessee Democrat, she's excited to help campaigns utilize technology to win elections and build long-term infrastructure for success.
