How can I upload a custom font?

I have a web font I wanna upload and use it.
Websites > Theme > Custom Theme > New file
only gives me the option for text file. How can I use a font file and use it by css @font-face ?? please advice. my font file isn't among those offered by typekit.

You can install custom fonts on your site!

You can upload a font file by going to Websites > Theme > Site > Current Custom Theme > Files.
