I'd like to add a birthday field to our signup form. Is there any way a user can enter their birthday and NationBuilder will save it to their account? I don't want to manually add supporter birthdays. This information is useful for targeting.

To add this field to your signup form, use a line like this in the template:
Remember that dates in NationBuilder are of the MM/DD/YYYY format, so reminding your users by using a default initial value might improve the rate of useful input into this field.

I’ve noticed that putting the liquid representation doesn’t always work. Instead, I spell out the HTML verbatim and that does the trick:

Birth date

From my experience though, this only works on the signup pages and the signups_edit partial.

A workaround would be to direct folks to a signup form that redirects them to a feedback form. You’d then be able to capture their signup data and pass them along to the message box of the feedback form.
