When adding a new person, it would be helpful to have a field for a nickname. If somebody's name is Elizabeth, you would want to enter that as the first name for voter file purposes. However, when sending her an email, it might be better to address her as Liz. This is a pretty easy fix, but it would be helpful.
I would recommend using NationBuilder's import field of "legal_name" for Elizabeth and importing Liz under the "first_name" field. You can also set the the legal and first name/nickname values for a user under the "Edit" > "Full Name" tab in the user's record.
