How do you delete a follow-up?

completed

Hi Nicole -

You can delete a followup type by going into settings > contact types > and clicking the trashcan icon next to the contact type (NOTE: You cannot delete contact types if they are already being used for contacts or followups, if they are already being used for this, the trashcan icon won't appear)

This person who needs a followup, what action was the followup triggered by? I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "sending the automatic email response etc." It sounds like this might be a more specific case, so feel free to email us at help@nationbuilder.com with your nation info and we can take a look at it there!

What does "unclicked" mean in email stats?

completed

Hey Jennifer -

"Unclicked" is an aggregate list of everyone who has NOT clicked on a link in your email blast. This could be folks who opened the email but didn't click anything, or folks who simply did not open your email.

Check out our writeup of what your email stats mean here!: Understanding the results of your email blast

How do I add people from my existing "People" database to the endorsement list?

completed

Hi Brian!

So, there's no way to mass-add endorsers to the endorsement page. Each endorser has to either do it themselves via the endorsement page, or has to be manually added in the control panel. When you're adding the endorser, if you use the same email address as the one they already have in your nation, it won't create a new profile, it will simply update the existing one, so no merging will be necessary.

Let us know if you have any more questions on this at help@nationbuilder.com!

New Permission Set affecting +New People to Nation

completed

Hey Rebecca,

I'd like to dig a little deeper here and check out the permission sets in your nation as well as the profiles you are referring to. If you could send us more details to help@nationbuilder.com we will be able to investigate further.

Thanks!

Add a field in signups_edit.html

completed

Hi Wilfried!

So, the liquid age variable can only be used to display age, not request age, because age is a variable that would be constantly changing! You can request Date of Birth, however, and the database will automatically determine a signup's age.

If you want to request Date of Birth, you can use this chunk of code:

<div class="span12"><label for="signup_born_at_chronic">Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY) </label>{% text_field "born_at_chronic", class:"text" %}</div>

Let us know if you have any more questions!

Public Profile Display Options

completed

You will need to go to profiles_show_wide.html or profiles_show.html ( depending on whether or not the supporter nav is turned on) and use the liquid variable: {{ profile.phone }}

customize nav

completed

Hi Delphine -

In the Aware theme, you can edit the color and size of your nav bar in the file titled tablet-and-desktop.scss. In the default stylesheet, this starts at line 159.

Keep in mind, however, that any changes made in tablet-and-desktop.scss won't affect the mobile version of your nav bar. If you want to make style changes to that, you'll need to go into _mobile-nav.scss. That file is found in theme - current custom theme - files.

To change the location of the nav bar, you'll want to go into layout.html.

Thanks for your question!

Preview and printing emails

completed

Hi Nancy,

When building an email blast, there is a preview section which will show you two boxes: one for an HTML look and another for a Text preview of your email.

In this section, you'll also be able to send out test emails. This will be the best way to give a view of the layout.

Keep in mind that the preview page is also where you sent out your email to your recipients. Be careful not to accidentally blast when you're trying to test.

Unexpected top nav behavior on tablets in landscape

completed

Hey Nathaniel,

This is actually expected behavior. If you notice, when you click on the parent page, that same page shows up as an option along with the subpages. It can't simultaneously direct you to the parent page and show you the subpage options. This is because of the way you interact on a touch surface.

Thanks for your question!

Help please trying to change the text on a supporter nav submit button

completed

Hey Kristin,

Where this is edited can change on a per-theme basis; would you mind letting us know what specific Nation/site this is for so I can direct you to exactly where you can edit that text? Feel free to respond in the comments below or by e-mailing your organizer with the info.

FB Share Buttons in Blog Post HTML Source Editor

completed

Hey Ross, the html edit window in our current WYSIWYG editor unfortunately can't be used for this purpose; you'll have to embed share buttons in the template editor.
