On the top right of our nation builder theme based on Collective, there is a sign in form with Facebook, Twitter or Email.
Clicking the email goes to the login page. There are options to login with existing account or Create an account.
If the person - who is already in our nation as a supporter - chooses to create an account and 'Send Account Activation', they are sent an email and then once it is set they are created as a Control Panel User. This is clearly not right, as we don't want our supporters to be able to login to our NB backend.
How do we prevent the people from being given any permissions to do so? There appears to be supporter users and control panel users - by removing permissions it will revoke their access. But we don't want to manually do this every time a supporter wants to sign in.
Using the 'Send account activation' option will create a log in for the site, but it does not grant access to the control panel.
Creating an account like this allows your site visitor to access any parts of your site which you have set to be accessed by 'logged in' people only. It also allows them to edit their own information.
I am also emailing you with information specific to your nation.

I was using one of my other email addresses to test it.
