Here in Massachusetts we designate areas by Wards which are oftern divided into precincts. I am used to having the Ward listed in one field and the precinct in another. However, I can not find a Ward field. The closest thing is city_district which seems more verbose than it needs to be.
Is that what I should use for Ward?

You're correct: the best field in NationBuilder for entering Ward data is the city_district field. It's called city_district precisely because the name for that district varies from city to city (and even more so internationally): i.e., it is variously called a Council District, a Ward or a Constituency.
