How do we hide the obsolete/confusing "party member" field now that we're using Memberships?

We've transitioned to defining and managing clear Memberships in our political party database, but volunteers still get confused by the existing "Party Member" field, thinking they're related.  Is there any way to just hide/disable that field?

Hey Jim, user-customization of that portion of the control panel is unfortunately not something on our roadmap right now.

    Can this discussion be reopened? Because we find it also a very disturbing way of working. Such a central place in your people dashboard & very confusing.

    I haven’t done this yet for my nation, but I think if you lock in pricing and pay annually you can keep your previous pricing model. This had a 2 day Q&A about it, and I think they recorded Jim answering questions about it. Might be something to look into for keeping your cost the same & using memberships.

    Thanks for the suggestion from Justin. Disappointed in the generic non-answer from Jeff.

    It may be moot now that we found out the price of NationBuilder for us will go from $67/month to $219/month if we want to keep using the memberships feature.

    The best you can do is turn off “Manage Party” in the permission sets for everyone, then assign everyone to those. At that point, you only have to educate the admin users to ignore it.
