Currently, I am sitting in a room of 600+ women, listening to the Pioneer Woman tell her journey of growing up in Chicago, living a single city life, falling in love and moving to rural Oklahoma. Like many women at this conference, there is so much empathy and connection in these personal journeys.

And it's just started!

Over 5,000 women are gathering at McCormick Place today and tomorrow to share stories and best practices about none other than blogging at BlogHer. The streets of Chicago are flooded with lifestyle bloggers, mom bloggers, food bloggers, fashion bloggers. And these women have stories to tell. It's a beautiful mix of super inspiring and slightly overwhelming.

In preparation for this morning, Lauren Brown Jarvis and I sat down and began thinking through how we would approach BlogHer. We listened and had a conversation with Jill Miller Zimon about running for office and blogging. We spoke with Kristi Trimmer about Orange Dragonfly, her lifestyle and fitness blog. Every woman has a motivating story of what they do, why they do it and how they got here. Lauren and I decided we would made a little video to tell you what we're most excited about today and how these women are motivating us to really soak up BlogHer:
