As a NationBuilder Architect, your design is a calling card. It's how customers differentiate styles and determine which flavor fits best with their mission. The subjective nature of it all means this decision can be made instantaneous, or it can be made with the due diligence of a complex rocket launch. Either way, we want to make sure you have the best shot of highlighting the fruits of your labor.

The idea for Blueprints was born out of need to remove limitations in showcasing this design work. Initially, the only window the world had on your visuals was via three thumbnails listed in your directory listing. The restraint of this format was not solely due to the quantity of screenshots, but to the actual subject of the screenshot.

Blueprints allows you to showcase the intricacies of your design - from that brilliant header overlay to the signup button's delicate shadow - and do so without a numerical restriction. Here are some hints at how you can utilize Blueprints to its full extent:

Consistency

Nothing revolutionary here: frequency means good visibility. The default sorting of Blueprints is "Most Recent", so keeping your prints fresh will maintain your brand at the forefront. It also keeps the latest work in your directory listing up to date with still-hot projects. Use consistency wisely though; over-posting may cause a lot of your best output to be overlooked.

Diversity

Shake it up with the type of prints you post. It's not just about soliciting customer attention with this format, other designers want to get inspired by your work as well. Be sure to hone in on and emphasize the important details of the visual. Blueprints is meant to be a community where you can support or comment on another Architect's work and they can do the same for yours. This creates a healthy ecosystem for everyone.

Titles

When highlighting a specific component of your theme, be sure to reflect this in the headline text. Having a brief title present will direct the viewer's attention towards the thing you need eyeballs on. Something like "Organization X - Custom form flow" explains the focal point a bit better. Note: don't use that example verbatim...

Link

Lastly, make sure you always include the applicable URL with each post. It's nice to view a design and then experience the real thing when possible. You'll see a place to add this URL when submitting a new print.

Making frequent use of Blueprints can be incredibly valuable. Share, contribute, and grow!
