Alicia D. Smith is amazing! She is a resident of Minneapolis and leads in so many fronts from Youth development to Housing. Alicia has been a leader in keeping working class families with food in their cupboard since Feb 2020 when COVID struck she sprang into action opening up a food support resource center in her neighborhood that was accessible to all even offering delivery to people who were unable to get around. She has since help to operate over 5 additional pop up food resource center in and around her neighborhood serving over 100,000 lbs of food to over 10,000 families. Alicia has also been involved in other important happenings in her city assisting with creating an Black Land Trust as well creating a coalition of boots on the ground organization to address violence in the community. In addition to all of that she is the executive director of the neighborhood organization by day and freedom fighter by night. To put it simple I think she is awesome and so do thousands of others.
