Why doesn't "feedback" page type E-MAIL feedback comments?

Hello!  I have set up a "feedback" page type for my client, and assumed that it could be used like every other "Contact"-type page I've worked with in my 20+ years of web development experience:  it e-mails a person's comments to a specific e-mail address (or addresses).  However, that is not how NationBuilder's "feedback" page seems to work.

When someone submits their "feedback," the text of their feedback is entered into our NB database.  The person receives our "autoresponder" e-mail, and so do we.  But that is all.

Unfortunately, the autoresponder e-mail does not include (and can't be made to include, as far as I can tell) any of the text that the person entered into the "feedback" form.  Unlike every other "contact" type page I've ever worked with, we have to go searching in our NB database in order to FIND that person's feedback.

My client says, "We have to go back to their profile to find any message written to us. Surely there is a checkbox somewhere to fix this?"  I'm not so sure that there IS any checkbox to fix this.  I thought I'd check in with you to make sure.

In short, is there any way to make the "Feedback" page type behave like pretty much every other "contact" page on the internet?  Please advise.  Thank you.

Hi Charlotte -

You can set up email notifications for your client so that they receive all responses entered on your feedback forms in their external email.

In order to make sure this works properly, you'll want to have a few settings in place:

1) Your client should be a control panel user in your nation

2) "Email new comments and feedbacks to page followers" should be checked off under site settings

3) "Everyone" should be checked off in your client's notification preferences for "Email new feedback"

In addition to the content of the comment left, the notification will also contain the commenter's email address should your client wish to respond to them directly through their external email.
