How do i set up an email forwarder for a custom domain email address?

I linked a custom domain to my nation, and created a broadcaster, setting up a new email address managed by nationbuilder. I would like to set this address to forward to an external address to allow incoming email to be managed independently of nationbuilder. How is such a custom domain forwarding address set up?

Hi Charles,

You are able to forward email from your external email address using the instructions below:

https://nationbuilder.com/forward_email_to_a_broadcaster

This will place a copy of your emails into your broadcaster.

Unfortunately, using NationBuilder as your email provider does not allow for forwarding to an external address. For more details, see the link below:

Hi Charles – I’m not aware of any workaround for forwarding received emails to an external email address while using NationBuilder as your email provider.

If this functionality is a critical part of your workflow, but you don’t want want to pay for external email hosting, there are a few email providers that offer a free version of their baseline capabilities, such as Zoho Mail: https://www.zoho.com/workplace/pricing.html

Would it be possible to set up a script that upon receiving an email, would “broadcast” a copy of that message to a set address? Looking for a work around that would make NB functional as a mail host.
