Add ability to modify HTML tags in RSS feed

We have received reports that users would like to have the ability to customize their RSS feeds to remove author or other HTML tags within the RSS feed. 

incomplete

Can you please add more context behind why this is a valuable feature? What are people trying to do with this feature?

    We’d like to be able to customise the RSS feeds of blog posts & events our Nations campaign sites, in order to be able to be able to combine them into a single feed (perhaps using a 3rd party service) and display that feed on our parent Nations site.
