Tsuyoshi, the point of community is so that when you solve challenges like this, or we answer questions, it’s easier for others to find the record and solve those challenges.

commented on Mailbox set up for other email hosts?
Lisa, additionally note that if you are using NationBuilder for your website, there is no need to pay for another host (NationBuilder sites cannot be hosted by other providers), or for another mail provider. You can use multiple NationBuilder Mailboxes with our email add-on at no per-use charge, and you can also use up to 10 free Google Apps email addresses free – http://nationbuilder.com/how_do_i_set_up_free_gmail_with_a_custom_domain_on_nationbuilder

Ethan, definitely this is what the support forum is for – we can’t always answer every question right away (and we depend on our community to pitch in as well) – but now you’ve helped us provide additional documentation that’s available to all. Thanks!

commented on Can we translate our nationbuilder nation's page?
To add to Josh’s answer, the control panel and a very small percentage of the public content cannot be translated. We have seen French, Spanish and Welsh sites, and the Nathan Cullen site is the one fully bilingual implementation. Catalyst Internet, Cullen’s developers for NationBuilder, is now listed on our consultants page. Translation requires a custom theme, and you can translate any theme elements that are in white in the theme editor, as well as all of the auto-response email templates.

commented on Are there plans to integrate NationBuilder with Drupal?
No. NationBuilder brings together the CMS and CRM database into one package, a community organizing system, and the CMS is infinitely flexible using HTML, SCSS (or standard CSS) and Liquid. commented on Import an attended list?
It is not possible to import a list for an event RSVP. We likely will not add this feature as it entails entering data into a form then importing that form into NationBuilder. Adding manual RSVPs/attendee records is supported by going to Event details > RSVPs > New RSVP, then going to attendees and checking off the folks who attended.

commented on Using Background images
Howard, the layout.html file is the main template which wraps every one of your pages. If you want a full page image on a page with the slug ‘about’, and another full page image for the slug ‘blog’, you could put something like this in your layout.html file: {% case page.slug %} {% when ‘about’ %} HTML for your about image goes here {% when ’blog %} HTML for your blog image goes here {% endcase %}

Hope that works for you – if you need more help, just shoot us an email. Thanks!

commented on Could you explain the new security model?
The new security model (currently in beta testing) allows you to assign people to interns and leaders and they can see only those profiles assigned to them. The permissions are spelled out if you switch to that mode.

commented on Shared voter list to volunteer.. where do they see the list?
Christopher, currently only people who have control panel access can access and update lists. Sorry for the confusion.

Your volunteers will need to have access to the control panel at at least intern level, or else you can export your list and share it as a spreadsheet.
