Dae Levine

Dae Levine is an experienced marketing, fundraising, communications and campaign strategist committed to building engaging models of participatory politics and advocacy.  She is the VP of Marketing and Communications at NationBuilder.

As a member of NationBuilder executive team, Dae is responsible for telling the company story and aligning that with its marketing and communications strategy. She has spent her career creating change by building movements with a laser focus on the goals at hand, whether they be advocacy, community or candidate campaigns. 

Dae most recently served as Director of Communications for Mayor Eric Garcetti of Los Angeles. Prior to that, she worked with Revolution Messaging, the Equality Campaign (the national campaign for marriage equality in Australia), Antarctic Ocean Alliance, Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF-Australia), Action Aid Australia, The Australian Greens, Fairtrade Australia New Zealand, Lendlease, Greens-NSW, and Greens-VIC., Republic of Everyone, Greenpeace Australia Pacific, Essential Research at Essential Media Communications, Human Rights First, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, the Democratic National Committee, EMILY’s List and Vote for America, as well as over 40 federal election candidate campaigns spanning six election cycles.

Dae was a faculty member at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, teaching Masters courses in Applied Policy Analysis, Public Sector Marketing and Communications.

Dae has been sought frequently as a media commentator on Sky News, ABC, Fox News, CNBC, MSNBC, NBC and NY1. She has been featured in Mumbrella, Campaign Brief, Campaigns & Elections Magazine, Working Woman Magazine, Columbia Alumni Magazine and Sports Illustrated for Women.

Dae earned an MPA from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, degree in Public Policy and Administration, specializing in Electoral Policy, and a BA from Barnard College, Major in English and a Concentration in Creative Writing/Poetry.
