Using a SUB-DOMAIN of a Nation's Custom TLD for a Different site

Hi, my Nation is a complex site, in that it uses NB as the CORE FOUNDATION COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE, but then incorporates other sub-community experiences (for example, a virtual training academy), built using other social networking platforms which have functionality not currently available with NB.

Since I have an Affiliate Program integrated into my Nation and which is tied to the specific custom TOP LEVEL DOMAIN used for my Nation, I want to use/map a SUB-DOMAIN of my Nation's TLD, as the official URL for one of my external but linked community sites on a different platform.

My question is this - would my mapping a sub-domain of my Nation's TLD to an external site be possible when NB is managing the Nameservers? Or would it work without causing any problems to my NB TLD setup, if I am just using the CName record to map the sub-domain?

Hoping for a quick reply.

Thanks.

If NationBuilder is hosting your DNS Records for your custom domain and you would like to have a subdomain point to another site, you can email the relevant information to [email protected] and we'll add the CNAME to your DNS Records. So yes, it is possible to map a subdomain of your top level domain when NationBuilder is managing nameservers.

Your top level domain setup will not be affected by adding a record to map the subdomain.

If there is functionality you feel is missing from your NationBuilder experience, you can suggest new features on our suggestion page: http://nationbuilder.com/suggest
