How to target households

People are the most important aspect of any nation. Often there are ways in which you'd like to target specific household, e.g. households with one Republican and one Democrat, you can do this via household view.

Table of Contents

Household view

The People section includes five main views: single-person, list, household, map, and path. Use the household icon_household_view.png view to filter for profiles via household.

If you do not see the household icon_household_view.png icon, you’ll need to turn on households.

Now, you can filter households, export filter results, and add household residents to a list.

4. Begin typing "Political" in the criteria box, and click the Political Party option.

5. Select Democrat from the dropdown.

6. Repeat steps 3 and 4 by clicking on the Add criteria add_criteria.png button and typing "Political" into the criteria box. Click Political Party once it displays as an option.

Note, you have options for how many residents match the criteria you're targeting, which allows you to narrow your target universe even more. So, you could find just the households with one Republican and one Democrat, or the households with one Republican female and one Democrat male. If you're looking for Republican females, you'd add a group row below the "Political party is Republican" line so that those two criteria are attributed to the same person.

Find households with only one donor

1. Click the household icon_household_view.png icon to go into "Household view" in your People section.

2. Click the filter icon_filter_gray.png icon to begin filtering.

Note, indicating that you're looking for households that have exactly one resident that matches the criteria, you're able to find households with only one donor. You can filter for households with more than one donor, or for at least one donor to get different results.

You can also filter for people who have donated a certain amount of money, or between one amount and another amount. This allows you to segment donor households by the total amount they've given.

4. Click the Filter button_filter.png button.

5. You can save the household residents to a list by clicking on the Actions dropdown menu in the top right-hand corner and select Add all to list. When you do, you can add the household residents to an existing list or create a new list.

You can also export the list by clicking on the Actions dropdown menu and selecting Exports.
