Agreed, Ryan. A lot of the current size crops / cutoffs don’t make a lot of sense anymore (especially the “large” and “medium” sizes for Featured Content Slider images).
What I normally do is use the “background image” field for those sorts of images, as it isn’t constrained and I rarely use actual background images.

The idea was to create a dedicated landing page to use as an endpoint for digital ad campaigns.
Functionally, it’s a totally standard signup page. Everything — even the background image — is editable via the Control Panel, and it can be reused as many times as need be.

Harry — Using NationBuilder mailboxes in conjunction with a third-party email provider, like Google Apps, is a great solution for tracking your email contacts in your Control Panel. In fact, we use it here at NationBuilder for all of our customer contact.
If you’re going to go that route, I’d strongly recommend pairing Mailboxes with a third-party service, as NationBuilder does not enable mobile email (on your mobile device), offer spam filtering, etc. With a Google Apps (or other provider) + Mailboxes pairing, you’ll get the best of everything.
