Color Themes corresponding to elements

Hi there- i was reading this FAQ- http://nationbuilder.com/how_can_i_change_the_colors_of_my_website but still have a question…

How do you know what theme color corresponds with what element? Is it always the same? Is there a cheat sheet somewhere? I want to change header font color, but I cant find in any of the style sheets what color it relates back to! I am going to do trial and error- but I’m hoping there is a more efficient way.

Kelly, There are a couple of tools you can use to make editing your theme easy. Google Chrome has a tool integrated in their browser that lets you select elements of a website and view the source. The Element tool (right click > inspect element) let's you easily see what styles are associated with what, including the color hex codes. You can use this tool to find the styles to edit in your theme.scss file. Also, Firefox has a similar tool called Firebug. More about Firebug.

We are also constantly adding to our documentation, and we do have plans to develop more detailed information for our official themes. For example, you can find more information about our new Victory Theme here.
