There should be some way of archiving older sites of publications or campaigns that have become mostly inactive but are still a valuable document and should remain online at reduced cost.

One way of doing this could be that the server no longer accepts form submissions from those sites (so they can't feed into the database any more) but still serves them with their structure intact and historical interactions preserved.

In my world, that would particularly help film producers that have more sites (one for each film) than their newly limited price plan allows. But I think this is of universal interest for historic purposes.
