By I'm getting a message "slug already taken by username" when trying to create a short slug. This hasn't been a problem before, and I have printed materials I need to match. I have no users with the listed name.
It's possible that there was a username matching the slug I want to use. Do username slugs last forever?
Once the slug is taken by a user for their profile it cannot be used by a page. For example my NationBuilder profile is http://nationbuilder.com/taylorpineiro. If I wanted to create a page with the slug taylorpineiro I would need to go in and change the current page with that slug (my profile) to something else. So I could go into my profile > profile > settings (in the dashboard) and change the slug to something like taylorpineiroprofile so that would release taylorpineiro.
