I believe your designer might be having trouble because your site is still using an official theme.

In order to create a custom theme, sign in to your control panel and click Websites > Theme > New custom theme.

Any page in NationBuilder can be easily turned into a splash page. You can set a splash page by editing the page's settings, and checking "make this the splash page." Things like the navigation are taken out, and a "Continue to xxxx page" button is added to the bottom.

Splash pages will show to a visitor only once.

If you've created a custom design, you will want to edit the _splash.html file, located under Websites > Theme > _splash.html.

To see what the page will look like in testing, you can manually trigger splash page mode by adding ?splash=1 to the end of any Nationbuilder URL.
