Engineering Intern

NationBuilder is seeking talented, motivated interns to join our technology team in 2013.

Our team practices agile development and continuous deployment, which translates to lots of opportunities to learn and produce production code. You will be embedded into a world-class technology team and mentored by people who love teaching and learning about code. We are a well-funded startup and pay is commensurate with experience.
Suitable candidates should possess the following skills/attributes:
  • Completing or finished CS, EE or similar degree
  • Experience with web technologies, particularly MVC frameworks, preferred
  • Good communication skills, and comfortable working independently (though you will often be paired with a senior engineer)
  • Able to commute to downtown LA

Deadline to apply is midnight December 16th, but applications are processed on a rolling basis so we encourage you to apply immediately. Start date is the week of January 14th. To apply, send an email to the "jobs" address you see in the footer of this page. It should include::

  • Contact details, resume, that sort of thing
  • Sites you’ve worked on recently
  • Github account (or other online code) if you have it
Here's a quote from former engineering intern and current employee, Lauren:
Participating in the NationBuilder summer internship program provided me with the opportunity to not only work with a brilliant, supportive team, but also to build meaningful and innovative features.
As a learning experience, my time at NationBuilder was unparalleled.  The tasks and projects assigned to me were challenging and thoughtful.  Rather than working on one tiny aspect of a single large feature, I had the opportunity to deploy multiple features. Seeing an immediate customer impact is rewarding, and I think gives students a better real-world perspective on their work.
I would highly encourage any student to participate in a NationBuilder internship as it was one of the most positive and rewarding work experiences I've had.
