I am curious about how to get started with nation builder when I have an existing capaign database service. I am trying to transfer over all of my information and I am finding it difficult to do things like; transfer codes (aka tags), transfer donor information within the 'People->Listings->One Time Import' option (as this is how I plan on uploading my previous database); and i would also like toi be able to transfer previous communications that I have had with supporters. I can download all of this information in a .CSV file from my old database (complete campaigns). What is the best way to upload all of this info?
If you have a CSV file, codes can be added in finance imports as tracking codes, or in standard imports as tags, comma separated in a single field. Historical donor info can be uploaded with communications in a single notes field.
