How do you pull the donation history for all donors who have given in the calendar year 2012? When I try to use a filter I keep getting a 500 error. When I pull a donor list, it only gives me the cumulative total for the donors which exceeds the amount they gave last year. Hoping to use this information for tax receipt letters.
Instead of searching for the donors, search for the donations themselves. In the control panel, go to Finances > Donations > Listing. Click the filter icon to begin filtering. Use "donation date" as the criteria and select "is between" to display a date range option.
Click the filter button. Then click the Export button. That will give you a downloadable CSV containing the donations.
Open that CSV in Excel. Turn the data into a table, and then pivot it. In the pivot table, make the rows either the signup_nationbuilder_ID and/or signup_full_name. Set the columns to be the sum of the field amount. The results will be the total amount donated by each member during the time period.

Per this thread, do I have to basically just choose the time period and then manipulate the results in Excel? Is there not a search criteria within an Advanced Search so that I can add extra filter settings?
