We are seeking an individual to manage the development, launch, and maintenance of a new website that supports our APAPA nation. This position requires a person who is a positive self-starter and highly motivated team player with the ability to communicate and work effectively with our chapter leaders, consultants, executive leaders, and colleagues while handling multiple projects.
Candidates should possess strong project management, leadership, and technical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to be flexible and nimble when needed. Our desired applicant will be a well-organized, detail-oriented individual who is persistent in their drive for success.
Roles & Responsibilities
Oversee APAPA’s technical needs, including but not limited to: technical support, IT infrastructure, website, software and data management, IT security, special projects, communication with vendors, stakeholders, chapters, and legislators.
- Project-manage the website production, design, content development, and maintenance.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for APAPA regarding all web development estimates, guidance, and solutions for server and backend technology.
- Modify and maintain webpages and restructuring efforts.
- Provide a world-class support experience for stakeholders, chapters, vendors, and legislators by embodying a helpful, friendly, and empathetic attitude.
- Manage a high volume of emails and phone calls with a positive, professional, and helpful attitude
- Stay up to date on new Nation Builder product features and improvements.
- Manage yearly IT needs evaluation and analysis review.
- Manage chapter website needs.
- Provide consistent and clear communication of reports to all stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze and use data to measure successes and ROI.
Requirements
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed. Must be able to travel up to 20%.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience providing technical support in nonprofit or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) in information technology, computer science, or relevant field from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
- Experience in supporting users across multiple locations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills on the phone and through email.
- Excellent grammar and spelling skills, reading comprehension and listening skills.
- Superior attention to detail, organized abilities, and time management skills.
- Ability to work productively both independently and in teams.
- Ability to handle information with the utmost discretion.
- Someone known for being helpful, calm under pressure, with the can-do attitude.
- Someone who relishes working in an open and collaborative environment.
- Comfortable using tools (Google Docs, Microsoft Teams, Slack, etc.) on a daily basis.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite Applications.
- Experience with HTML, CSS.
- Experience working with or managing an SQL database and/or mainstream CRM software (Little Green Light, Hub Spot, Salesforce, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for the Asian Pacific Islander American experience and community.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Nation Builder certification is a plus.
- Strong relationship-building and excellent customer service skills.
- Windows Server and Desktop OS (all versions).
- Experience supporting Microsoft Exchange.
- Experience managing server Backup applications.
- Video conferencing technology (Zoom, GoToMeeting, WebEx, etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (SharePoint, Dropbox, etc.).
- Advanced Networking (Routing, Switching, Firewalls. SonicWall, Cisco, Dell, etc.).
- Experience with a templating language, such as PHP or Liquid is preferred.
Compensation: $62,000-$72,000/year
