About the content_for_notifications.

Can I add on other than _columns_2.html OR _columns_1.html. I want to add on the petition template and it is not working.

As long as that tag is on both _columns_2.html and _columns_1.html, it will automatically be loaded one every page. You don't need to add it to every page individually.

Having the {{content_for_notifications}} tag in _columns_2.html and _columns_1.html allows different notifications to appear, it doesn’t specify that a single notification will appear on every page.

You can’t update notifications except on a signup page. For sign up pages, you can edit it under signup settings. If there is a particular notification you want to change, you might be able to use a liquid “replace” filter: http://nationbuilder.com/liquid_basics#filter

CJ: We want the notification to appear below the the form that was submitted. We do not need it to appear on every page.
