Melissa Gena

Melissa is a product leader who believes the best software gets out of the way and lets people focus on what matters. As NationBuilder's VP of Product, she works closely with leaders across the company to shape the product vision and ensure the platform solves real problems for the leaders who use it. 

Melissa brings over 20 years of experience across the full spectrum of tech companies—from co-founding her own ventures and joining startups as an early employee, to leading product teams at mid-size companies and large enterprises. A first-generation college student who went to school later in her career, she earned an M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University and has focused her work on mission-driven organizations ever since.
