I'm going to list several ideas to improve paths, please let me know your thoughts on all of them if you are Nationbuilder staff. Paths are really cool, and there is so much potential here, but there are definitely things missing.

Here is the situation I'm in. I'm trying to implement paths into our people to make our communication with them more meaningful and inspire more people to action. In our case, we have someone sign up for campaign updates on Facebook; I add them to a path "Become a Supporter" (which is custom). The next step on that path is for them to confirm their support. In our case, that is going to mean sending them to a vote pledge page or getting them to sign a petition. If they complete that action, I would like to complete their path automatically.

In addition, at path completion, we need several new settings. When a supporter completes a path, we should be able to automatically add them to a new path or even multiple new paths. We also should be able to change things like support level and priority at path completion. And even, ideally, I'd love the ability to automatically send an email/text/etc to a supporter who finished their path to spur them to action.

I shouldn't have to go and add tons of people to a list and then batch updating them to move them on paths and all that stuff. The addition of more automatic controls for managing paths and actions, the easier it will be for data managers and campaign managers and the less time and money we have to spend doing this stuff manually.
