What happens to email sign-ups? How are emails verified when someone puts their email into the Sign-Up box? Does NB verify that the email is real (by matching a response)? If so how long does NB wait; and what happens if no response is received?
Apparently folks are putting in invalid emails into the sign-up.
Official response from NationBuilder Support
NationBuilder checks that the entered email address is valid. A valid email address is one that follows the format:
{character_string}@domain.extension
where:
- character_string is a string of letters and/or numbers
- domain is a valid potential domain name
- extension is a valid extension such as com, ca, edu, gov, etc.
If the address passes validation, then the activation email is sent and a profile for the person is created in the nation.
